English Essay Writing Competition 2009 - Prize Giving Ceremony

As in the past few years, English essay writing competition were organized annually by all the water authorities in Sarawak at their respective areas. This event was initiated by the Human Resource and Customer Service Permanent Sub-Committee of the Sarawak Water Supply Consultative Committee (SWSCC).

The competition was divided into 3 categories :-
    (1) Primary School
            Theme - How to protect Trans-boundary Water Source
    (2) Secondary School
            Theme - The Importance of Trans-boundary Water Source
    (3) Public
            Theme - Sustainable Management of Trans-boundary Water

The purpose of the competition was to cultivate a responsible and civic minded attitude on managing the world's trans-boundary waters for current and future generations.

The number of submissions received from Miri and Bintulu are :-
  Primary school category - 24
  Secondary school category - 28
  Public category - 1
